CITY KÜCHEN: presents the “Mona Lisa” of Gaggenau kitchens

CITY KÜCHEN's David Ruder and art director Carlos Estévez can't help themselves. They love luxury kitchens and stage them as magical and relaxed spaces. The "Mona Lisa" of kitchens: With the new "Expressive" oven from Gaggenau, they once again prove themselves to be trendsetters.

76 by 67 centimeters, unusual and yet dream dimensions. A model that currently exists only once in Berlin. "We are the exclusive Gaggenau partner and proud to present this new icon," raves City Kitchens owner and kitchen enthusiast David Ruder about the oven from the new "Expressive" series, for which the Gaggenau designers took ten years to develop.

The delicate stainless steel frame around the smoked glass viewing window, the seamless integration with adjacent appliances, and this unique operating concept – Gaggenau designer Sören Strayle was guided by the aesthetic ideal of the "Golden Ratio." Instead of two controls, he created just one: a centrally positioned knob that appears to float. "Gaggenau's chief designer, Sven Baacke, describes it this way: 'Two frames, one circle, one work of art.' But this oven is actually several works of art, both visually and technically."

The “Gaggenau Expressive Rotary Knob” is a unique operating system with haptic feedback and precise control. It's a trademark that stands for an intuitive and high-quality user experience. The sound when closing the device is also high-quality, reminiscent of a sports car door. "There are no door handles; that's a thing of the past," says aesthetics enthusiast David Ruder, impressed.

Upon entering the exclusive kitchen showroom, the new "Expressive" oven is immediately visible. In front of it is the new Gaggenau induction cooktop, whose cooking zones are invisibly integrated beneath the worktop.

Carlos Estévez deliberately staged the appliances in this way. "Kitchens should be magical and relaxing places," says the art director, who, of course, can also cook. "I live and breathe this," says Estévez, whose distinctive style has also transformed City-Küchen into a work of art, creating living kitchens and constantly fine-tuning them so that every element is simply state-of-the-art.

David Ruder, for his part, made a point of personally inspecting the construction of the "Expressive" oven at Gaggenau in Lipsheim, France. "All handcrafted," he says, describing the highest standards of luxury. These standards are accompanied by a wealth of possibilities: roasting, baking stone, and dehydrating functions, hot air fryer, core temperature probe, automatic programs, and pyrolytic self-cleaning – a high-performance all-rounder is making its way into the upscale kitchen. As an observer, one falls into awe before the "Expressive" icon at City-Küchen.
