As of September 1st, CITY KÜCHEN Berlin is opening a new chapter in creative design. After many successful years, we are saying goodbye to our in-house Art Director, Mr. Estevez, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.
We sincerely thank Mr. Estevez for his exceptional dedication, creativity, and the many contributions he made to the design and development of CITY KÜCHEN Berlin. We wish him all the best for his future endeavors, both personally and professionally.
Ms. Spindler will succeed him as the new in-house Art Director. With her appointment, CITY KÜCHEN Berlin gains a designer who brings fresh perspectives on form, color, and materials. Her design philosophy combines timeless elegance with high-quality materials and a clear architectural signature.
A particular focus of her work will be the greater integration of international natural stone varieties into future kitchen concepts. The project begins with the redesign of the LEICHT studio area. As a first highlight, Ms. Spindler is designing an exclusive sample kitchen using the striking natural stone Rosso Lepanto, which is expected to be presented at CITY KÜCHEN Berlin in the third or fourth quarter.

Rosso Lepanto: A stone with a history
The Rosso Lepanto stone originates from Liguria and is traditionally quarried in the region of the same name, not far from the Cinque Terre. The rugged coastal landscape with its steep slopes and terraced vineyards not only shapes the scenery but also the geological conditions under which this dense, metamorphic limestone is formed.
Its deep red, almost purple base color is traversed by fine white to greenish shimmering veins, which are the result of mineral deposits and tectonic processes. Lepanto has been used for centuries in interior design and architecture, and was particularly favored in prestigious buildings, where its vibrant pattern was deliberately employed as a design element.
